The Edwards Voice Studio is one of the only studios in the Binghamton area that
in addition to classical voice, specializes in the training of Contemporary
Commercial Music (Music Theater, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Country, Folk, and R&B).
Using an approach based on speech, students learn a healthy technique based on
classical vocal ideas but tailored to the demands and style of modern music. All
students are encouraged to bring their own music to their lessons where we can
focus on perfecting what you actually perform, which is essential to your success
in the music industry.
Students interested in opera, musical theater, or choral music will gain valuable
insight from Matt and Jackie's extensive experience in the performing arts. From
the beginning steps of learning proper vocal technique, to learning how to act
while singing, and eventually preparing for auditions, Matt and Jackie's approach
to vocal training will prepare you for wherever you want to go. High School
students interested in majoring in music will also learn how to research, apply, and
get into the perfect school for reaching their goals.
No previous experience necessary!
Sing or play as a hobby? No problem! Many of our students take lessons and
perform for this reason and enjoy the benefits of professional instruction. Don't
have a guitar yet? Power Alley rents guitars to our students for as little as $25 a
month.

"Within the window of a year, Jacqlyn Zito and Matthew Edwards took my performance abilities to a new level. More than being exposed to their progressive, yet simplistic approach to vocalizing in a range of styles, I now possess an awareness of all that it takes to survive in the theater world. I would recommend both of them to any young artist with a strong dedication to their art form, seeking trust & guidance in a vocal teacher or coach."
